I was going to blog about something profound...and I just rememberd it!
I think my brain is having a memory dump. All this week tiny, stupid things are bringing back memories of all kinds of crap. Ocean City, MD. Bible conferences of the past. My old Teen magazines. It's like I'm getting little glimpses of them as my brain throws them away. (Case in point, I can't remember the flash-backs from ealier this week.)
My blood tests all came back normal. I'm officially a medical mystery. Chris goes back to work on Monday, so I think I'll make another appointment and say, "Listen, I need to know why my girl parts don't work. I'm going to be 29 in May! Time is running out!"
My sister is trying to organize a protest of sorts at our local circus that comes around every year (they still have animals). There was an event created for it on facebook and....well, all I can say is that my faith in the collective intellegence of human kind is failing. Retards are on the event saying, "Don't protest the Shriners! They help kids with cancer!". Hey, dumb asses, we're against the circus, hence the "Circus" part of the event. Ugh, so just a bunch of dumb arguments errupted and people leaving retarded comments......maybe they should perform in the circus instead of the animals. That would make a statement, eh?
People are stupid.
I've had a blog since September 2001. I'm a former nail tech, current un-published author, and mother to five children: three in heaven, two on earth. This is where I come to write about whatever's on my mind.

Research
I was researching the 90's for a new story I'm working on. Did you know that on Wikipedia you can search for a year and it'll give you a run down of what happened? I typed in 1994. Here's what I found:
I went to youtube and found the video of the elephant attacking his trainers and then being shot. It just reaffirms my hatred for zoos and circuses. The trainer had cocaine and alcohol in his system when they did the autopsy; he had complaints filed against him before for abusing elephants. You'd think by the 90's that PETA and all those kinds of groups would've done something about the mistreatment of circus and zoo animals by then. And, since they hadn't, it kind of makes me think that almost twenty years later not much has probably changed.
So I clicked on "Tyke" for some more info.
August 20 – In Honolulu, Hawaii, during a circus international performance, an elephant named Tyke crushes her trainer Allen Campbell to death before hundreds of horrified spectators, at the Neal Blaisdell Arena.
Dude, that totally happened in Altoona, where I live, and I had no idea. Granted, I was 10 years old, but I have no recollection of hearing about this elephant running loose.
On April 21, 1993, 16 months before the incident in Hawaii, Tyke ripped through the front doors of the Jaffa Mosque during a performance and ran out of control for an hour in Altoona, Pennsylvania. An estimated 4,500 school children had to leave the building as it was evacuated, and the rampage caused more than $14,000 in damage.
